Tpr. James T. "Ginger" Carrigan

Tpr. James T. “Ginger” Carrigan, formerly of the Royal Scots Greys (Royal Armoured Corps) from, at least, early 1944 . Prt. Jimmy Carrigan was Wounded In Action (WIA) - being hit in the hand by shell splinters as the masthead of the LCI (S) was struck by a shell.

L/Cpl. James T. Carrigan is reported as being a Commando sniper and still with the Commando on, at least 29th June 1944 .

He is described as being a "gentle Scot" hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland, and after the war became the Superintendent of the Edinburgh Higher Education Department swimming pool.
